My name is Tom Kramer and I wrote this book.
I have always considered myself more of a storyteller rather than a writer, even though I usually do write my stories down. They are usually one or two page anecdotes describing personal experiences like, We Just Wanted to be Cowboys and Pearls in the Sky, incorporated into this book. Testimonials from readers say it's hard to put down.
Writing "You Can't Draft Me, I Join" was one of the most gratifying accomplishments of my life. It occurred to me during the process that as I age and memories begin to fade from view. At least I have a permanent record of those years between 1965 and 1972. Perhaps there are more books about life experiences to come. If so, I should get started, as my 80 year old brain’s memories are fading fast. This may be the time to move from nonfiction to fiction, or fiction based on fact.
The real story of Madame Lovejoy's Restaurant is pretty compelling, but ripe for embellishment to spice it up. We'll see…
